Abbey Road 50th

573 Participants

Often heralded as the best and most influential album release ever, Abbey Road continues to influence music and culture even 50 years later.

Released September 26, 1969, Abbey Road was a 47 minute, 17 track hit that many say was the Beatles best work. This is especially true as it was only a few months later in April of 1970 that the band broke up. The album was an immediate success as it reached No. 1 in both the US & UK. The album cover features the four band members crossing a Zebra Crossing outside Abbey Road Studios in London. It has become one of the most famous and imitated images in pop music history.

We are excited to celebrate this piece of history back to life with the Abbey Road Race in September. You're invited to join us and get some awesome swag, plus earn a one-of-a-kind medal.

You can run, walk or hike this race and do it wherever you want! Sign up now

How this works

Shirt/Bib Info & Deadlines

  • Register by September 3 and your shirt and/or printed bib will arrive by September 26.
  • Register after September 3 and that swag will not ship until late October.

We will place two shirt/bib orders for this event — one before and one after. Everyone that registers for a shirt and/or bib will get it - regardless of whether you finish your race. However those that register for a medal will NOT get it until after they report their time & the race is over. ALL SHIRTS HAVE THE SAME IMPRINT.

*Note: registrations are a la carte, so you get to choose what swag you want

Finisher Medal Info & Deadlines

This medal is sure to be one of our most popular, so be sure to sign up quickly! The front side has the iconic image of the Beatles on the Zebra Crossing with a "running" twist. The back has the details of the race. Plus the ribbon features each of the songs included on that famous album!

Only those that register for a medal will get one, AND only if they report a finish time. Medals will start to ship shortly after the event, but only to those that report their time. The last day to report your finish time is October 25, 2019.

Important Info

The official race day is as listed above. Registration will be open through that day but only as supplies last.

To maintain the spirit of traditional events, we believe a finisher medal should be earned by finishing the race. We verify that you finished by requiring that you report your time to your account. If you do not report, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A MEDAL. Watch this video to see how to report your finish time.

As far as we’re concerned, race day is as listed above and we anticipate that most people will race that day - BUT - the advantage of having a virtual race is you can do it when and where works best for you. So it’s up to you. Because we strive to honor the tradition of in-person races, you’ll receive messages as if that is race day for you, but just know that we’re okay with it if you need to do something different.

A portion of each registration will be donated to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Learn more about them here.

Please note: 1) All swag usually ships separately and all timelines are based on US Domestic shipping via the USPS. 2) In rare cases where the shirt style/color we list is out of stock, the next closest color will automatically be substituted for you.
