A: Virtual races are just like traditional races with a shirt, medal, bib, community and fun, but you can run, walk or hike your race wherever you want with whoever you want. Even on a treadmill! Racers report their time and then we send a medal to them for completing the race.
A: Since our registrations are a la carte, you can just choose the swag you want. If you would like a medal, registrations start at just $29. The registration page can give you a better idea of specifics!
A: In an ideal world, everyone would run on race day, but the beauty of virtuals is that you have the flexibility to do what works best for you. You can run before race day or after – as long as it is within the 30 day grace period.
A: Check out our schedule here: http://virtualrunningclub.com/schedule/
A: Yes, we ship all over the world (anywhere that the United States Postal Service ships). There is a higher charge:
For 1 piece of swag (medal or shirt) it is $7.00 for Canada and $11.00 for all other international.
For 2 pieces of swag (medal and shirt) it is $12.50 for Canada and $17.50 for international.
To avoid issues, please select the appropriate shipping option when prompted on the registration page.
A: Our registration page tells you which nonprofit we are donating to for each race. We usually donate around 10-15% of our profit to the charity.
A: You can always get the best idea of when swag ships from the registration page and your original confirmation email. Sometimes that gets sent to spam, so if you find it there please mark us as “safe” so you can always get important race updates!
A: A lot of times with Microsoft accounts like Hotmail, our emails go straight to the spam folder, so check there if you are waiting for a confirmation email. Some people say it is easier to locate from a computer.
A: There is a great video that walks you through the process on our website:
A: Sometimes the package is delivered correctly a day or two later…but please double check with others in your home to see if they grabbed it and set it aside. Our swag usually ship in a white “poly” envelope and is sent First Class, so the label has a big “F” on it. It’s also worth checking with your neighbors, your letter carrier, and the post office to see if they might know where it is, since it did make it there at one point. It sounds like they could use some feedback anyway!
If that doesn’t help track your swag down, let us know and we’ll make it right.
